General Graphene is the seventh technology-based company sired by serial entrepreneur Vig Sherrill. Joined by long-time friend, Greg Erickson, in 2015 they got to work in solving graphene’s singular problem: how to commercialize a material that’s been stuck in the laboratory for over a decade.
Although we weren’t right about everything, we were right about some of the important things. Turns out this really was an engineering problem, not a science problem. We identified the graphene problems we needed to solve as being too expensive, having inconsistent quality, and that it was only produced in batches.
So, we engineered a solution.
